At Localised, we believe in the power of community-led change. Our zero waste hubs are where people rethink waste, recover resources, support community re-use and help build a more circular Aotearoa
We are looking for an exceptional Operations Administrator to provide administration and business support across our Zero Waste Hubs.
Reporting into the Head of Hubs you will play a key role across the organisation and will be responsible for keeping the hubs systems, records, reporting and customer communications accurate, organised and up to date. This is the perfect role for someone who is organised, takes initiative and has a people-first mindset so that the wheels keep turning and the workplace is humming.
About the Role: This is a newly created role where you will be consolidating work previously split across three other roles. You’ll make sure the day-to-day workflow runs smoothly, build relationships across multiple sites, work closely with Site Managers and their teams, as well as our customers, suppliers, community groups and the wider Localised team.
You’ll take ownership of a broad mix of tasks, including being the single point of contact for all site emails and the 0800 number, responding to social media enquiries and overseeing the monthly and quarterly reporting. Some tasks could be highly visible and people-facing, others will be behind the scenes, making sure the details are taken care of before anyone notices they need attention. No two days will be the same, and we think that’s part of what makes this role so rewarding!
About You We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and great at making things happen. You’ll enjoy variety, take pride in the details and will be comfortable moving between practical coordination, relationship-building and day-to-day problem solving. You’re someone who notices what needs doing, follows through and helps create a positive experience for others. You’ll have the maturity and EQ to stay cool and calm in all situations, building trusting relationships with everyone you interact with.
You'll bring:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administration, operations, coordination or business support role.
- Confidence with technology, comfort with learning new tools and systems with an AI forward mindset.
- Experience supporting projects or process improvement (an interest in automation would be a plus).
- An understanding of Google workspace or equivalent.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence and follow through.
- The ability to analyse and prepare reports with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A warm, approachable communication style and the ability to build positive relationships across our teams.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Confidence working independently, while collaborating closely with others.
We’d also love you to have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles along with a curiosity and interest in sustainability and the circular economy.
