The Role:
As a Building Surveyor you will work with our Bay or Plenty, Rotorua and nationwide team (with some travel involved from time to time), combining technical delivery with client relationship management and business development.
What You’ll Do: - Undertake building surveys, inspections and investigations of residential, commercial, industrial, and rural properties
- Undertake Technical Due Diligence
- Deliver remediation, repair, and refurbishment advice on complex building projects
- Assessments and lease reinstatement (dilapidation) surveys and undertake weathertightness
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and recommendations
- Ensure work aligns with RICS standards and internal quality processes
- Liaise with clients, legal representatives, insurers, and other project stakeholders.
You will have: - 2+ years’ building surveying experience in a professional consultancy, with exposure to both residential and commercial projects and investigation of various buildings demonstrated
- Bachelor or Master of Building Surveying degree (or international equivalent), and a commitment to working towards becoming Chartered or NZIBS Registered in NZ
- Chartered Surveyor (MRIS) preferred
- A passion for building surveying and pride in your work
- A willingness to undertake a variety of projects to suit our client needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
