About Storypark Our purpose is to help every child fulfill their unique potential by empowering the educators and organisations who shape their early years.
We are well-established as market leaders in New Zealand and Australia and are trusted by over 12,000 early learning services globally. We're now on a mission to deepen the impact our product makes even further, building the platform early childhood organisations trust to run their services, engage families, and improve outcomes for children.
Storypark has recently acquired leading Australian childcare management platform Xap, bringing together our best-in-class family engagement and learning documentation tools with the operational tools educators need; enrolments, onboarding, funding, and compliance, all working seamlessly together. By giving early learning services more time back from admin, we help them focus on what matters most: nurturing children's learning, strengthening family partnerships, and creating thriving early learning communities.
What you’ll be doing This is an exciting moment to join the Storypark marketing team, and a great opportunity to shape the visual identity of a growing SaaS company with a brand that's proudly playful, colourful, and rooted in our values.
As our sole in-house marketing designer, you'll own the look and feel of everything we put into the world, from campaigns and content to our website and events. You’ll bring energy and playfulness to every asset, using colour, tone and creativity to bring our brand to life. You'll inherit a brand that’s recently been refreshed, and be trusted to champion it and evolve it as we scale. You’ll work alongside a high performing marketing team that knows how to brief well and backs great ideas.
We're looking for someone who stays calm in a fast-paced environment with a steady stream of varied work. You’ll be confident and assertive about brand and know how to prioritise and set expectations. You'll love building smart systems just as much as making beautiful things, building templates and processes that make good design scalable.
This is a part-time role, working 24 hours per week with a mix of in the office and working from home. Wellington based candidates are preferred, but we’re open to candidates based elsewhere in New Zealand and would consider fully remote arrangements for the right candidate.
Day to day you'll: - Be the guardian of our brand and bring it to life across our marketing; keeping it consistent, playful and true to who we are as we grow
- Design print and digital collateral across e-books, eDMs, social, ads, events, conference stands, sales enablement resources, and more
- Shape new campaign concepts and pitch ideas that tie creativity to commercial outcomes
- Assist with web design work alongside our external Webflow developer
- Build and extend our Figma template library so the team can self-serve on the basics, freeing you up for higher-value work
What you’ll bring You're someone who likes to have fun with brand and isn't afraid to be playful. You have a sharp eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly. You're highly motivated, confident sharing new ideas, and enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish, delivering on time and to a high standard.
At Storypark, we value curiosity, collaboration and a growth mindset. You don't need to have done this exact role before, but you'll bring the experience and mindset to succeed, including:
- 4+ years' design experience, ideally with some agency exposure
- A strong portfolio that spans brand identity, website design, marketing campaigns and collateral
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Google Slides and Webflow or similar
- A curious, experimental mindset and openness to exploring how AI tools could speed up your process without losing the human creativity at the heart of great design
- Experience with motion graphics, video editing, SketchUp or UI/UX experience would be beneficial, but not essential
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about the early childhood education sector and understand ECE leaders’ challenges and opportunities.
