About the role We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator to ensure our day-to-day operations, administration and processes run smoothly and effectively across Wesley’s sites. Reporting to and working closely alongside the General Manager, you’ll provide practical administration support and assistance to the GM and the wider teams, working to maintain and refine systems and processes that enable our Kaimahi to focus on their important mahi.
You’ll be involved across the business, supporting with contract management and reporting, vehicle fleet management, audit and compliance, HR Administration, technology support, and events coordination.
This is a part-time role, working 32 hours per week across four or five days, mostly based in our Hagley Street, Porirua office.
About you You are a forward-thinking and proactive administrator with a knack for problem solving, process and system improvement. You’re calm under pressure, have sound judgement and are flexible and adaptable to lend a hand wherever your skills are needed.
With your positive, warm and collaborative style, exceptional communication skills and high EQ you build relationships effortlessly with a wide range of people.
As we are a Kaupapa Te Tiriti organisation you will embrace this direction and are open to continuously learning and adapting your approach. You’ll also embody our four pou in all that you do: Rangatiratanga, Ahurutanga, Manaakitanga and Kaitiakitanga.
Along with these key qualities, you’ll bring: - Confidence with Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook and SharePoint. Interest in AI tools and tech optimisation would be beneficial
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple administrative tasks reliably to meet deadlines.
- The highest standard of professional discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- A full, clean driver’s license
