About The Role: 
We are seeking a New Zealand accredited Senior Immigration advisor. Being a start-up, you will initially assist in establishing internal processes, the recruitment needs for some of our pre-established clients along with taking care of client’s visa requirements.  

You will work in a small team focused on bringing in clients, both individual and corporate, ensuring a steady, growing pipeline of work.  
This role is one of growth, a role that will over time transition from day-to-day processing of visa’s and recruitment, to a leadership role overseeing provisional license holders. 

You will provide expert advice and guide clients through their immigration journey, working with a wide range of clients and cases, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional service. 

This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, a dynamic, self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and wants to continue growing professionally.  
  
What you will do: - 

Client Consultation & Advice 
  • Conduct detailed consultations to understand clients’ immigration goals, history, and circumstances. 
  • Assess eligibility for New Zealand visa options and provide tailored advice. 
  • Guide clients on requirements, timelines, risks, and strategies to achieve their immigration objectives. 
  • Offer ongoing support for queries, post-visa guidance, or subsequent applications. 
  
Application Preparation & Lodgement 
  • Prepare accurate visa applications and compile all supporting documentation. 
  • Submit applications to Immigration New Zealand and monitor their progress. 
  • Respond promptly to requests for additional information or clarifications from authorities. 
Recruitment 
Work with clients on their recruitment needs including: -  
  • Advertising the role, receiving and screening applications, answering questions, forwarding candidates for interview, reference checks, etc. 
Compliance & Legal Responsibilities 
  • Ensure all advice and actions comply with Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA) regulations and Code of Conduct. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and procedural changes. 
  • Safeguard client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.  
Client Relationship & Service Excellence 
  • Provide regular updates to clients and maintain strong professional relationships. 
  • Handle complex or sensitive client situations professionally and empathetically. 
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service to foster trust and client satisfaction. 
  • Assist the GM in business development and sourcing new clients.  
  
Team Collaboration & Professional Growth 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and improve service delivery. 
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring junior staff, and staying engaged with team development. 
  
You will need: - 
  • A current NZ immigration accreditation certificate 
  • 5+ years’ immigration advisory experience 
  • A strong proficiency using Microsoft Office suite. 
  • A strong understanding of immigration legislation requirements 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Clear, open communication skills and the ability to form really effective working relationships. 
  • The ability to manage deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance
