About us Curae is a Comprendé company specialising in high end, short stay accommodation. We currently operate 20 premium short stay properties across Wellington, however we’re growing fast and are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to lift consistency, protect standards and take pressure off our current Manager.
If you’re the person who notices the details before the guest does, this role will suit you.
What you’ll be doing: - Inspect properties after housekeeping and lift quality control (the finer details matter here)
- Gather information from the team and/or guests, resolve or trouble shoot issues where possible or triage appropriately in real time
- Coaching and training a small housekeeping team to ensure quality control
- Manage guest communications with fast, calm service recovery
- Coordinate urgent guest issues and maintenance needs
- Improve our app (Breezeway/Guesty) workflows and help build a daily ops dashboard
- Manage stock and supplies from our Tory Street base
About you We’re looking for someone who’s a natural and calm problem solver and leader, and strives for service excellence. You have a warm and friendly disposition and enjoy being the ‘go to person’. You have a practical and patient head, you’re dependable and extremely organised.
The following would help you thrive in this role:
- Hotel/duty manager/serviced apartment operations/cleaning management experience
- Is detail-obsessed, meticulous, calm under pressure, solutions focussed
- Genuinely believes in providing guests with an incredible high end experience
- Understands the importance of upholding our strong reputation and the reliance on five-star reviews
- Experience leading, supporting and delegating
- Has strong written communication and professional guest handling experience
- Has a full driver licence; comfortable being mobile around Wellington CBD
Hours As you know, our industry requires flexibility, so we’re ideally looking for someone who be available for the following:
- 30 hours/week across 5 days rostered over 7 days
- Turnover focus between approx. 11am–2:30pm
- Shared after-hours roster (one week on, one week off with the Manager with allowance/TOIL discussed at offer stage
