DataTorque’s Platform Engineering team in Wellington is seeking a Technical Lead to help define, build, and scale the core technologies powering revenue systems globally.
Our team creates robust, high-quality software and best practices that underpin solutions for tax agencies across diverse regions. As Technical Lead, you’ll coach and mentor talented developers, guide technical delivery, and play a pivotal role in driving our projects’ global impact and success.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality software for our core platform and product suite
- Develop, test, and document solutions using .NET, C#, and SQL Server
- Lead and mentor developers within a dedicated delivery team
- Guide technical decisions, coach team members, and support their career growth
- Collaborate with stakeholders across regions
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a technical lead or senior developer
- Skilled full stack developer who writes clean, scalable, and maintainable code
- Deep experience with .NET (Framework and Core), SQL Server, and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about knowledge-sharing
- Strong aptitude for coaching, inspiring, and motivating team members
- Track record designing and delivering complex software solutions
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Agile development experience is a bonus
