DataTorque’s Platform Engineering team in Wellington is seeking a Technical Lead to help define, build, and scale the core technologies powering revenue systems globally.
Our team creates robust, high-quality software and best practices that underpin solutions for tax agencies across diverse regions. As Technical Lead, you’ll coach and mentor talented developers, guide technical delivery, and play a pivotal role in driving our projects’ global impact and success.
  
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality software for our core platform and product suite
  • Develop, test, and document solutions using .NET, C#, and SQL Server
  • Lead and mentor developers within a dedicated delivery team
  • Guide technical decisions, coach team members, and support their career growth
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across regions
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a technical lead or senior developer
  • Skilled full stack developer who writes clean, scalable, and maintainable code
  • Deep experience with .NET (Framework and Core), SQL Server, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about knowledge-sharing
  • Strong aptitude for coaching, inspiring, and motivating team members
  • Track record designing and delivering complex software solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Agile development experience is a bonus
Our Tech Stack:
  • .NET Framework & .NET Core (C#), ASP.NET MVC/Core, Web APIs
  • SQL Server (large datasets, BI, reporting tools)
  • React, Vue (JavaScript frameworks)
  • Git, CI/CD pipelines
