About us The Electricity Engineers' Association (EEA) is the New Zealand electricity sector's largest and most diverse industry group. We’re a not for profit member association, with over 70 corporate and 600 individual members. These include engineers, field workers, designers, office workers, technology suppliers and installers, software providers and operators, contractors, consultants, regulators and businesses. The role Reporting into the CEO, as our Workforce Capability Lead, you’ll play a critical and strategic role in helping us achieve these aims. As new technology emerges and we transition toward a net-zero carbon economy it’s more important than ever, that the electricity sector workforce is thriving and equipped to deliver.
You’ll contribute by:
- Leading the EEA’s workforce capability strategic plan.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across workforce capability.
- Providing support to relevant EEA committees.
- Providing advocacy to influence training and education content.
- Identifying, engaging with and managing EEA course content providers.
- Project management of work plan delivery.
- Planning and coordinating events.
This is a full-time position based in our brand-new office in the Wellington CBD (with flexibility to work from home)
. A bit about you Our ideal person will be an independent self-starter with a can-do attitude. We are a small team and need someone who is comfortable working across both strategy and delivery.
What you’ll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in education or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of education and training in New Zealand, including programme, course and product development processes. Fluency in the language of education.
- Knowledge of the roles and functions of government agencies, universities and polytechnics, vocational education and training organisations, and other relevant organisations.
- Understanding of the wider electricity supply industry in the New Zealand context, and confidence working with infrastructure, engineering, technical and health and safety information.
- Proven administration skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, set priorities and manage time and budgets effectively.
- Strong relationship building capabilities.
- Awareness of the elements of the customer experience and the ways in which approach and delivery can positively affect it.
