About us

The Electricity Engineers' Association (EEA) has held a strong reputation in the industry for advocacy and thought leadership for over 96 years. We guide and equip the electricity sector by developing and sharing industry rules and best practice, shaping and delivering knowledge and capability, providing advocacy, information and advice, and connecting people across the sector.

Our mission is to guide and equip the electricity sector so it has what it needs to electrify Aotearoa.

The role

Reporting into the CEO, this is a pivotal position where you will be able to significantly impact how our small and talented team supports the industry and our members. As Communications and Marketing Manager you’ll be responsible for leading and delivering a strategic communications and marketing programme that grows the EEA’s mana and influence, enabling it to better serve its members and stakeholders.

  • Engaging with our members and stakeholders through regular newsletters and informative updates on our services
  • Supporting a wide range of digital platforms and developing engaging and targeted content for our website, social media and email marketing campaigns.
  • Pursuing and leveraging media opportunities.
  • Preparing speeches, media statements, and briefing notes for the Chief Executive as required.
