ICT Systems Support - Part time

Listed 20 days ago

About Us
Good Shepherd exists to help women, girls and their families who are experiencing hardship. We strive for them to be safe, strong, well and connected — to embody their strength and lead full lives. We do this by delivering services and activities that support people to improve their wellbeing, and driving changes to unjust systems that hold people back.

The Opportunity
The ICT Systems Support role is important in achieving our mission and strategy. Many women, girls and their families in Aotearoa experience hardship, held back by unjust systems and intersectional disadvantages. We must deliver good services, collect and learn from data, build relationships, advocate for change, and more. All of this requires good information and communications technology (ICT).

The ICT Systems Support role is responsible for the ICT infrastructure for our small organisation of 35 people, so that it’s resilient, viable and effective for impact.

This role will be a blend of system administration, maintenance and development such as (but not limited to):
  • Working with suppliers to support, service and improve our tech
  • Establishing business and system requirements for tech improvements
  • A range of systems, particularly our Microsoft environment, loan management system and CRM
  • Supplier management
  • System and user administration such as settings and trouble-shooting
  • Asset lifecycle management

As we continue our growth journey we’re also looking for expertise that will ensure we are constantly improving our service and enabling our impact.  You’ll make sure our ICT is fit for purpose to help us deliver our strategy and achieve our impact goals.  You’ll have the opportunity to lead project work, create or direct policy to protect our organisation and extract and provide data that can support and empower our advocacy.

To set you up well for this opportunity,  we think you’ll need to have:
  • A few years’ experience in a similar type of role, working across both simple and quick fixes as well as larger and more complex projects such as new systems specification and implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities, we have a geographically dispersed team, so this is critical to set our team up for success.
  • A curious nature, always taking a client centred approach to innovation and improvement.
  • Strong technical skills and experience, with the ability to make well thought through decisions and the ability to trouble shoot quickly.
  • An understanding of the power of data, with that in mind, how and what to extract for maximum impact.
  • Experience in risk management e.g. policies, and processes for cyber security and handling sensitive data.
About you
We’re a small team, so you’ll be comfortable working autonomously and are happy to roll up your sleeves.  You’re passionate about our mission and resonate with our values of justice, zeal, audacity, respect.  By nature of your work you have a strong attention to detail and organisation skills.  And your open and engaging interpersonal style, gives you the ability to work cross functionally to obtain the information you need and support the wider team.
