B Corp

In 2021, Kin was quietly proud to be the first recruitment company in Aotearoa, New Zealand to certify as a B Corp. We’re part of a growing movement both here and around the world, of businesses that are striving to balance profit with purpose.

So what does that mean exactly?

It means that we have been independently assessed and audited and meet “high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency”. It means that an independent global body has awarded us a certification that represents the very real work we put into upholding our values. In 2025 we re-certified and were humbled to lift our score again, attaining 122.1!

While many of our practices were already in place, Kin is a much better business because of the accreditation process. The B Corp framework has given us a north star to anchor our values and business practices on.

B1G1 Business for Good

B1G1 is designed so that any business and its employees can choose how to donate and what causes to donate to. For example, in the Kin team, when we place a candidate in a role, we give 100 days of access to life-saving clean water to families in need around the world.

There are so many deserving causes on the B1G1 platform. Our team have chosen which causes have meaning to them and we give regularly based on business milestones achieved each month.

Kin and Garden to Table

For every new client referral, we donate $200 to our friends at Garden to Table.

We love the Garden to Table dream: for every child in Aotearoa New Zealand to have the opportunity and resources to grow and share their own fresh kai as part of daily life.  

The positive impact from this incredible programme radiates far beyond the school gate. It naturally weaves its way into whānau, the wider community, and the planet, enabling a more sustainable, equitable and climate-friendly future – we’re 100% on board with this!
