An Introduction To Our Team - Nikki Ting

"We essentially become 'an employee' of our clients, working for them, knowing and understanding what talent they want for their business. I love that relationship."

Why is purpose important in business?

Purpose is like your 'why?'  Having a purpose gives you clarity and a way forward. When you're clear on your purpose, you can speak to that when attracting talent. It's what underpins your business.

What do you love about working with Kin?

Oh so many things!! I love the fact that I can truly be myself - honest, transparent and these also align with Kin's values. I love that Kin has changed the way of recruitment and that we essentially become 'an employee' of our clients, working for them, knowing and understanding what talent they want for their business. I love that relationship. Kin has a point of difference and I love being part of it. Plus, the team I am surrounded with are incredible!!! I could go on.....

Why are you passionate about working with Kin clients?

I love getting to know my clients on a deeper level, understanding how they work, what their goals and values are and then finding them amazing people to support them with those goals and values. It gives me a sense of purpose, I guess.

In your opinion, what’s the most important part of the recruitment process, and why?

I think clear and open communication is (one of) the most important parts of the recruitment process. Communication is weaved throughout the whole recruitment process from a thorough brief through to offer stage (and beyond!). When everyone is on the same page, the recruitment process flows well and there are no 'surprises' or anything like that.

What’s been a special moment (or a moment that matters) for you since starting at Kin, and why

Aww so many! But I guess if I had to pick one, it would be right from my very first interaction with Wendy and the Kin team, I felt like they had my best interests at heart. Nothing was a problem and they only wanted me to be happy and succeed in my work and my personal life. I truly respect and appreciate that and it is absolutely a moment that mattered to me.
