An introduction to our Kin team - Jamie Edmundson

Our clients share similar values with us and are places I would want to work myself.

Why is purpose important in business?

My purpose and why I do (and love) what I do is simple; to create recruitment processes that are fair and authentic and bring people together. I think having a purpose and shared values within a business is really important and creates engagement, drive and transparency.

What do you love about working with Kin?

I love how closely we collaborate with our clients throughout the entire process and the confidence they have in us as their trusted partners in recruitment.

Why are you passionate about working with Kin clients?

Our clients share similar values with us and are places I would want to work myself. Knowing our clients intimately and being genuinely excited about their organisation helps me to tell their story when I engage with potential future employees.

In your opinion, what’s the most important part of the recruitment process, and why?

The job brief and initial conversations with my clients are really important. Deeply understanding their business, their needs, the gap they have in their team and how someone could really add value. And gaining an appreciation about what is great about the company and the role! I find this part exciting as it sets us on track to support our clients to build incredible teams.

What’s been a special moment (or a moment that matters) for you since starting at Kin, and why?

I really enjoy it when I have the opportunity to support our clients on interview panels. From helping shape the interview process, making sure we ask the right questions, as well as facilitating the interview so that my clients can focus on really get to know the candidates they are meeting.
