About Ignite
With more than 30 years’ experience in Architecture, Planning and Interior & Urban Design, Ignite Architects have built a reputation for designing beautiful spaces that create harmony between the built and natural world. Our multi-disciplinary team spans our 5 design studios across NZ and Australia.
You won’t find any ego’s here.  At Ignite we pride ourselves on being an open and communicative firm, who puts our people and clients first.  We are a social bunch with an active social club, and many regular events.  People are friendly and approachable (including our leadership team), and we promote a non-hierarchical structure.  We must be doing something right, due to the long tenure of most of our staff!

About the role…
The effective management of this client is critical to our firm.  We have a highly collaborate mind-set, not just internally, but also with our clients from project start to finish, and beyond.  This particular client, is leading the way in Aged Care, with a focus on both wellness, as well as innovative design.  Your role will incorporate both the client side, as well as management of the internal project teams.  You will still be reasonably hands-on with each project, and be responsible for front-end design, project feasibility, among other duties.

About you…
We are looking for a strong client facing architect, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience.  You might either be in an Associate Directorship currently, or perhaps an intermediate or senior architect looking for a growth opportunity.  Experience in aged care specifically is not important to us, however ambition, drive, and an appetite for success are!  In addition, you will possess the following:
  • Proven client relationship skills
  • Strong commercial project experience
  • The desire and willingness to coach and develop junior staff
What you will receive …
  • A vibrant and creative team environment that is centered around our people - you will enjoy our modern work-space, with a family feel.
  • Competitive salary and flexibility in the way you work
  • The opportunity to take a step up and develop your career
Applications close on Tuesday 27th August, however we will be reviewing applications as they are received.

You must hold a valid NZ working permit to apply for this role.
