Volpara is an ASX listed software company whose core technology is based on science originally from the University of Oxford. With a global team made up of engineers, scientists, QAs and sales staff based in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand, they have a collective desire to develop software that will allow for the accurate prediction of who might develop breast cancer. Put “simply”, their goal is to massively reduce the 500,000 deaths from breast cancer that occur each year globally.
Volpara are looking for a Chief People Officer to set up and lead their people function. Based in Wellington, you will be responsible for developing systems, policy and procedure as they navigate their way through their high growth journey and to help them become an employer of choice.
Ideally you will have worked in a SaaS organisation and be familiar with international employment law and HR best practice. As well as developing the HR strategy for growth for the organisation, your challenge will be to bring the global teams together as one culture. Day to day this role will be responsible for providing high quality and proactive HR service covering:
- Policy development
- Performance management
- Health and Safety
- Employment relations
- Recruitment and remuneration
- Learning and development

Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ HR experience at management level. You will be highly strategic but be equally as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. You’ll bring with you each day your sense of humour, strong EQ and open and honest communication style.
