Who we are
Arthritis NZ Mateponapona Aotearoa is committed to improving the life of every person affected by arthritis. We're a respected organisation with a clear vision and have well established services across advocacy, education and support to ensure the 750,000 New Zealanders of all ages affected by arthritis have a connected community and can live well.

Our fundraising program has strong foundations in place, and we're looking for a passionate fundraiser to help take it to the next level.

The Role
This is an opportunity for a senior fundraiser to grow and flourish with support from team and organisation management. You'll work directly with our Funding and Communications Manager and benefit from the strategic insights of our CE who himself comes from a fundraising background. Additionally, Arthritis NZ has a board supportive of the fundraising programme.

You'll be stepping into a established programme ready for a fresh lens and strategic thinking.

We have an office presence in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch and we welcome applications from any of these regions.

Typically you would be:
  • Leading and optimising multi-channel fundraising campaigns to engage and grow our individual giving donor community
  • Developing compelling grant applications and build lasting relationships with existing and new funding partners
  • Creating exceptional donor journeys that inspire long-term support
  • Using data-driven insights to enhance campaign performance
  • Contributing to various aspects of our fundraising programme, including bequests and major donor giving
The right person for this role will:
  • Have 3+ years of fundraising experience, with a expertise in individual giving and/or trust and grant fundraising
  • Be a natural storyteller who can communicate our mission with clarity and impact
  • Love data and the key role it plays in effective fundraising
  • Have strong relationship-building skills and attention to detail
  • Understand the not-for-profit sector
  • Be committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
