Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) is a Trust dedicated to providing support and advocacy across Aotearoa to grandparents and whānau care families who are raising children on a full-time basis. Our vision is raising resilient and healthy tamariki and rangatahi (children and youth) by empowering the community we serve.
About the role … - Creating positive employee engagement through effective leadership, continuous feedback and encouraging personal and professional development
- Source and develop diversified and sustainable funding opportunities, new programmes and initiatives
- Management of annual budget, financial reporting, sustainability and compliance.
- Enhance and implement key actions of our strategic plan, in collaboration with the Chair and Board
- Build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, not-for-profits, local and central government organisations, Government, funders, and the media
- Uphold our kaupapa, and lead by example in the acknowledgement and respect for the cultural diversity of communities across Aotearoa
About you … - You will connect to our mahi and have awareness of the unique challenges faced by the families we support.
- A contemporary, inspiring leader who will support and empower the team and our volunteers
- An outstanding communicator with high EQ, capable of navigating complex relationships and working collaboratively to influence others
- A big picture thinker with a long-term vision for the future whilst tackling issues of today
- Knowledge and respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te ao Māori, with the ability to lead others in its practical, day to day application as we continue our journey together
- Experience of the not-for-profit sector either through previous roles you’ve held or adjacent mahi
