Social Media Advisor

What you’ll do
As the Social Media Advisor with WellingtonNZ, you will be responsible for developing and leading WellingtonNZ’s approach to social media.
Reporting to the Content and Editorial Manager, this role will see you:
  • Working with the wider team to help deliver WellingtonNZ’s consumer-facing content strategy and plan (editorial, content & social media) 
  • Manage the WellingtonNZ consumer-facing social media pages
  • Engage with and manage our audiences and community
  • Develop and implement our paid social media strategy
  • Manage the social media content calendar to ensure we’re maintaining and building audience engagement and channel growth
  • Identify opportunities for cross promotion with partners and stakeholders
  • Ideating, shooting and editing video and image content for our channels
  • Collaborating across the wider digital and marketing teams as we work towards the goal of creating engaging content that showcases the Wellington region, attracts tourists, and supports businesses.

About you
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has relevant experience working with social media and digital content, including a strong understanding of social media tools, publishing and listening platforms
  • Is up to date with channel developments, social trends, and generally has a finger on the pulse of all things digital
  • Brings knowledge and experience with paid social media, and running end-to-end campaigns
  • Can comfortably take the lead and advise as the social subject matter expert for our business
  • Can actively contribute to the development and delivery of marketing communications strategies
  • Brings warmth, energy and a positive mindset
  • Has a full clean drivers licence, and is comfortable driving around the wider Wellington region.
