About the role  
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the work of the Te Kaunihera Tapuhi Nursing Council of New Zealand as part our growing team of Registrant Consultants, responsible for assessing applications from internationally qualified nurses (IQNs). IQNs are an important part of the nursing workforce, and this role is responsible for determining whether applications meet the requirements for registration as a nurse in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

Due to unprecedented growth, we are building a brand new team and so we are currently looking for a number of exceptional people to join our friendly, collaborative team. These are full-time, 6- 12-month fixed term roles. Part time work is also a possibility.

There is some flexibility to work from home after the orientation has been completed; however, this is mostly an office-based role.  
 
Day to day you will:
  • Assess applications for registration from IQNs
  • Provide advice and support to queries regarding the pathway to registration
  • Work closely with a Senior Registration Consultant to resolve complex issues
  • Work within a growing team, supporting one another as needed 
Skills & experience  
You will have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a passion to learn more. 
 
We're looking for someone who brings:  
  • An understanding of the importance of the internationally qualified nurse workforce for healthcare delivery in Aotearoa New Zealand 
  • A tertiary qualification or extensive experience in an administrative role 
  • Critical thinking and an eye for detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service both internally and externally
  • Self-directed and collaborative
