About the opportunity
This is a truly unique and exciting opportunity to join Clare as their new CEO.  You’ll have the opportunity to have impact from day one.  The set up phase is complete, and now it’s time to move up a gear, building on this strong foundation.   After gaining a solid understanding of our mission and vision, you’ll put an action plan together and build a team who will use their knowledge and networks to identify funding opportunities to further enable our impact . 

About you
We’re seeking an authentic CEO who leads with empathy and has the ability to build trust and credibility, with our sectors, our team and our funding partners.  You’re a leader who  can create a collaborative culture and will inspire the team to keep delivering exceptional and impactful work for the people we serve.
In addition you will have: 
  • senior management and/or leadership experience in a similar role in the community or philanthropic sector
  • a knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, Tikanga Māori
  • an ability to lead and deliver a strategy and action plan
  • exceptional relationship building skills, creating strong partnerships with other philanthropic funders, local and central Government and  funding recipients
  • financial acumen, and an understanding of the impact investment landscape
  • experience collaborating with a Board
  • experience managing funding relationships
  • exceptional attention to detail and strong operational abilities
