This is a brand-new role to support Harbour’s growing team! Being so close to Christmas we anticipate a new year start date. This junior position is a wonderful growth opportunity for an experienced graduate, to work alongside Senior Operations Analysts, within the reconciliations and reporting function of Harbour Asset Management. This position will require you to engage with and gain exposure to all areas including Equity and Fixed Income, Client Services, Outsourced Custody and Investment Accounting teams. The purpose of the role will be to provide middle office / operational support to the wider Harbour team, with a focus on daily reconciliations and reporting.
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Daily reconciliations between holdings on Bloomberg and outsourced providers
- Daily reporting to include compliance and daily fund performance
- Assisting with the set-up of new Multi Asset Client, Individually Managed Accounts and Fund mandates
- Ensuring errors and breaches are kept to a minimum and clean annual audit reports are produced
- Maintaining strong relationships with all internal departments and external and outsourced providers
To truly excel in this role, you will need to have a high degree of accuracy and be methodical and precise in your work. You will have 1-2 years’ experience in a fund or investment accounting / reconciliation role and have knowledge of the NZ managed funds industry including unit trust products and investment securities. A relevant tertiary qualification in finance or accounting is essential. Lastly, you will be an effective communicator and show a can-do attitude when liaising with your peers.
