Senior Sales Executive

Listed 24 days ago

An incredible opportunity to join a NZ business that is fast-growing and making waves delivering SaaS solutions to the legal and accounting markets both here and internationally.

About us
Connectworks develops and markets modern, cloud-based, entity management software. Our product is designed to help (primarily) accountants and lawyers, to meet the compliance obligations and streamline the management of these entities, and more.
We’re passionate about what we do and the value our solutions offer our clients. We’re on a rapid growth trajectory, including plans to expand our existing presence into more global markets. The strength of our New Zealand team will support this development, so we’re looking for an exceptional sales leader to join us and contribute to the next phase of our journey.

Why join us?
Celebrating our people and their success is a big part of our culture. We have open plan offices that offer an inclusive, collaborative feel. If you’re into the odd game of table tennis or pool, you’ll be right at home here. Good Wellington coffee is at the ready and we also have quiet zones where our people can catch up on the latest Webinar or email after being out with clients. We regularly socialise with our team mates to ensure we retain a connected culture that our people thrive on.  We have a genuine crew, who look out for each other and work hard to achieve great things for our clients and business.

The role
This is a Sales Executive role like no other; our product is niche but of high value to our clients. We’ve secured a solid chunk of the New Zealand market, working primarily in the accounting, legal, and trust management sectors.
We ambitious for more growth. This will come from also delivering more solutions in New Zealand and entering more markets.
If you have an interest in this area, you’ll find this role interesting and rewarding.
Following a meaningful induction period, you’ll be responsible for building new connections within the sectors we serve. Our target client pipeline is prepared and ready for you to unleash your ability to gain their trust, and deliver the information required to achieve long-term business.
A typical week will see you:
  • Making connections with potential clients, including networking at industry events
  • Partnering with our existing clients to become their trusted advisor to up-sell or cross-sell our solutions.
  • Collaborating with our internal development and customer service teams to ensure client implementation runs smoothly
  • Listening to our clients – understanding their business and making recommendations related to their needs
  • Anticipating and forecasting client’s needs, before they even know they have them
  • Negotiating contracts to ensure both parties are satisfied
  • Playing your part to maintain our reputation and supporting our collaborative culture

About you
You’ll bring previous experience in either sales leadership, a client-facing relationship management role or pre-sales. Most importantly, you’ll have strong communication skills, an organised approach and a thirst for success.
Our client base is hugely varied, so your ability to adapt, understand their needs and make relevant recommendations will see you in good stead.
Confidence in presenting to everyone from CEO’s and Partners through to junior admin staff will be one of your strong points; you love standing up and doing what you do best – selling a strong product for the benefit of those on the other end, while understanding different people have different motivations.
You won’t mind regular trips to Auckland and other parts of the country. This will form part of the market you’ll support. With a robust CRM and an organised support crew, finding information, maintaining client files, and travel and meeting appointments will be easy.
It’s not essential that you’ve sold software or have experience in our specific market, but of course this helps! If you’re a great fit with our team and culture, we offer thorough training to fill in any gaps.
